Paramo's New Lightweight Torres Gilet is a must have extra bit of kit, weighing in at only 330g and a longer cut than the original Torres gilet. It has a synthetic 100g fill so it's warm and will dry quicker than down when wet. It also packs into it's own breast pocket. It can be worn over a base layer or mid layer but is great if worn over a waterproof. For example when you're out on a walk and you stop to eat your butties instead of taking your waterproof off to put another layer on underneath, you just simply stick this on top. Therefore keeping all the heat in.
It has a secure external breast pocket, 2 handwarming pockets which zip from the bottom to minimize loss of heat when in use. The arm holes are elasticated to also keep as much heat in as possible and to give a great fit.
Even though it is ideal for wearing over a waterproof it's sized for everyday wear, so if you want to wear it over a waterproof go for a larger size than you usually would be.

NEW! Paramo Torres Trousers Unisex

The Paramo Torres Trousers are the ultimate trouser for insulation. They have a 100g synthetic fill and are totally windproof and water-repellent, they are low bulk and great for warmth.
Down either side of the legs are full length zips with two-way zippers, making them really easy to get on without having to take your feet off the ground, ideal if wearing crampons and also great for ventilation if needed. Around the waistband there are two velcro loop opening tabs making it even easier for getting them on aswell as a webbing belt.
They are generously sized so they work well over other trousers but can also be worn next to the skin.
The Torres Tousers are ideal if you're standing around in low temperatures for any amount of time, eg bird watching but they're also great if you're winter climbing or walking.

NEW! Paramo Torres Sleeves

The Torres Sleeves (shown with a Velez Adventure Smock) offer great fast warmth without all the weight. The average weight is 226g making them incredibly light and low bulk to carry. They have a synthetic 133g fill with a water repellent finish so they're easy to dry if they get totally soaked!
It's all part of the Torres overlayering system, but it really does work adding layers over waterproofs to keep the warmth in, rather than taking layers off losing all your core heat to add layers underneath. Just warming the arms provides the whole body with extra warmth especially fingers.
The Torres Sleeves are a great piece of exta kit, they're really easy to get on as there's no awkward fastenings and they are sized to go over your waterproof so you only need your normal size in them. So if your standing around in cold conditions for any length of time, get your arms on!
